Major League Baseball and People Magazine have launched the "All-Stars Among Us Campaign" to honor community members across the United States and Canada who have gone above and beyond to make an impact on their communities.

Three finalists picked from thousands of nominees were chosen to represent each Major League Baseball team, and Wayzata resident LaDonna Hoy is a finalist to represent the Minnesota Twins. One finalist will be voted to represent each team and will be honored at the All-Star game July 14, at Busch Stadium in St. Louis.

Hoy was chosen as an "everyday All-Star" as a founder of Interfaith Outreach & Community Partners. According to the Minnesota Twins Web site, she has also "served thousands through affordable housing developments, employment services, a food shelf, rides to medical appointments and connections to community resources."

To support Hoy and to give her a chance to appear in People magazine, vote on the People All-Stars Among Us Web site. Voting ends June 24.
