It has been a busy week for the Wayzata boys’ basketball team. Three Trojans have committed to play basketball in college.
The top ranked boys basketball player in Minnesota has committed to Purdue. Wayzata’s Camden Heide made the announcement on Tuesday, June 15 that he would become a Boilmaker.
Heide also had offers from Ohio State, Texas and Marquette while also making an unofficial visit to Minnesota.
Heide averaged 17.9 points per game while also helping the Trojans to a Class 4A state championship after defeating Cretin-Derham Hall, Wayzata’s first state title since 1959. Heide had 17 points in that game.

Wayzata’s Chris Davenport has also committed to Central Lakes College in Brainerd. Davenport averaged 1.6 points per game in 11 games this season for the Trojans.

Last but not least, Carter Bjerke has also committed to St. Thomas. Bjerke averaged 14 points per game this season with the Trojans with a 53.8% shooting percentage.
