Boisclair, Robert J. Age 71, of Deephaven, passed away February 16, 2011 peacefully at home with his wife at his side after a long courageous battle with cancer.

Preceded in death by parents and one brother, Joseph. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend - his spirit lives on in the hearts of those who he knew.

Survived by wife, Lori; daughters, Susan (Rob) Hadley and Colette Boisclair; sons, JR (Karen), Derek (Kristi) and Robert; grandchildren, Dylan Hadley, Bretten Hadley, Devin Hadley, Alex Boisclair, Aden Boisclair, Julian Boisclair, Gabrielle Boisclair, Vincent Boisclair; brothers, Larry and Adrian; sisters, Corrine, Delores and Mary Lou.

He was a graduate of the University of St. Thomas. Robert worked along side Vice President, Hubert H. Humphrey in the development of the first major condominium high-rise in the City of Minneapolis. In 1974, Robert formed Boisclair Corporation. Under his guidance, the Corporation created a wide range of developments from luxury housing, retail, mixed-use to affordable housing.

Boisclair Corporation developed the nation's first Section 8 federally subsidized leased housing development. Robert's visionary attributes contributed to the revitalizations of the riverfront and city center areas of Minneapolis and St. Paul. He pioneered the development of Riverplace in Minneapolis and developed in Lowertown St. Paul, Galtier Plaza. During Robert's career he built over 30,000 housing units throughout the country. Robert was known for seeing opportunity in lieu of obstacles, improving the quality of life for all those around him; his family friends, his fellow workers, and the millions of people who have been touched by those developments which truly reflect his heart and soul.

Mass of Christian Burial Friday February 25, 10 AM at The Church of St. Therese, 18323 Minne- tonka Blvd, Deephaven. Visitation Thursday February 24, 5-8 PM with prayer service at 7 PM at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 East Wayzata Blvd, Wayzata and 1 hour before the Mass on Friday at church.

Entombment at Gethsemane Mausoleum, New Hope.
