The Wayzata Police Department has taken complaints over the course of the spring/summer of dogs wandering at large through neighborhoods. Wayzata city code states that it is a violation to allow a dog to be “At Large.” It further defines at large as “Off of the property of the owner and not under the restraint of the owner or a member of the owner's immediate family.”
Please be respectful of your neighbors and follow city code relative to this ordinance. Animals found to be at large are subject to being impounded with a minimum fee of $60 for release. It’s also not a fun experience for the dog!
As always, please report any suspicious activity to the Wayzata Police Department immediately by dialing 911. Feel free to forward this alert to anyone you think may benefit from it. If you are receiving this alert from a third party and would like to receive future alerts directly from the Wayzata Police Department, simply send an e-mail message to email@example.com and we will add you to our list.
