Wayzata, MN – ​​You want bold north? We invented it 34 years ago. Break out your Paul Bunyan costumes and bring your ‘Babe’… here’s a winter festival you won’t want to miss. What started as a small crazy idea on how to have a little fun during the coldest month of the year has evolved into one of Minnesota’s most unique winter events.

Cinema & Skates – Friday, February 9th, 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

​All are welcome to experience a magical evening and escape to their happy place. Join us in kicking off the festive winter weekend by bringing your skates and glide under the stars on a luminary lit Wayzata Bay, enjoy hot cocoa and popcorn. Skating isn’t your thing? Step in to 6Smith’s heated 19th Hole tent ​and watch the popular Disney favorite-Moana on a jumbo screen. A perfect family outing! Admission is FREE and sponsored by MedExpress Urgent Care.

Snowkiting – Friday February 9th, 3:00 pm – 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, February 10th, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Experience a beautiful backdrop of colorful kites flying through the air during the Chilly Open weekend. Or better yet, try it out for FREE! Register for the race at info@lakawa.com.

Breakfast Buffet & Ice Bar – Friday and Saturday, February 9th & 10th

Stop by 6Smith on your way to or from ‘The Open”. Don’t miss the sparkling outdoor ice bar which will be open Friday evening 4:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m. And don’t forget to make a reservation for the Chilly Brunch Buffet on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. – Noon. Namaste on Wayzata Bay … ​Anyone can do Hot Yoga, but only true MINNESOTANS can say they have done “SNOWGA”​ – Yoga on the ice. Join us for a FREE yoga class on frozen Wayzata Bay. Bring your own mat and winter gear and start the day with a free yoga flow.

Golf Tournament – Saturday, February 10th, Tee Times: 10 am, 12 noon​ & 2​ pm | ​Theme: Minnesota Made

​The ultimate MINNESOTA tournament is back for its 34th year. Imagine 1,700 golfers on a frozen lake, in bizarre costumes and bar sleds, hitting tennis balls with hockey sticks and tee ball bats. Over 30 hole sponsors will decorate and host three-10 hole courses sponsored by Morrie’s Automotive Group, Fazendin Realtors, and Porsche Minneapolis. Hotel Landing will be greeting all the golfers as they approach their course with the Warming House full of treats and firepits to … you guessed it — Keep you warm! Golfers will play a round, head to the 19th Hole Tent and boogie to “PowerTap” band on the Edina Realty Stage​ while tasting some of the best chili in the land from over 10 local restaurants competing in the Chili Cook-Off Contest. The 2018 celebrity judges include: Stephanie March, Gavin Kaysen, Cody Matz, and Wayzata’s own Mayor Ken Willcox. PRO tickets are still available! The Final Swing – Live Music Saturday, February 10​th, 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
