Much of the chat over the water cooler and in the coffee shops in the past couple of days is that Benedict’s Morning Heroes Wayzata recently had a soft opening. The new restaurant is now officially open, the brain child of Chef Mike Rakun of Mercy Bar & Dining Room fame.
Menu offerings include Eggs Benedict:
and Yeehaw Huevos Rancheros:
The restaurant adds mightily to the breakfast options in Wayzata that include Wayzata favorite Maggie’s and lighter options from Wuollet’s, Bellecour, Bruegger’s Bagels and McDonald’s. Longtime Wayzata residents and supporters have faced limited options for breakfast since Lunds & Byerlys Kitchen shut it’s doors, with the Pancake House in Plymouth serving as a reasonable substitute for the power networking crowd.
The string of Wayzata restaurant openings has been remarkable in recent years, with additions including but not limited to: Baja Haus, Bellecour, Crisp & Green, District Fresh, nine twenty five, CoV, 6Smith, Wayzata Brew Works, and more.
