Your Wayzata Trojans football team fell to 1-3 on the season with a tough 41-7 loss to the #1 ranked 4-0 Eden Prairie Eagles.

Wayzata Head Coach Lambert Brown, in his first year for the storied program, told his team after the game that it was time in the season to “Keep fighting,” and to “combine the desire to fight with execution.”

Eden Prairie scored early and often behind the play of QB Cole Kramer who completed 5 passes on 7 attempts for 101 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Eagle rushing attack was lead by Solo Falaniko who carried 11 times for 111 yards and two touch downs.

For Wayzata, QB Marco LoPesio completed 5 passes on 9 attempts for 51 yards. Christian Vasser rushed 10 times for 28 yards, Deshawn Cockrell carried 16 times for 24 yards, and Brody Bjork carried twice for 2 yards and a TD. Charles Engdahl lead the Trojans in receptions with 4 catches for 48 yards.

The Trojans host 3-1 Lakeville North on Thrusday, September 28th.
