CITY OF WAYZATA: Railroad Crossing Replacement on Barry Ave Schedule for Oct. 13-16

The City of Wayzata has recently posted the following update on the official City website Wayzata.org:

"Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) will be replacing the railroad crossing at Barry Avenue South beginning Monday, October 13th. This railroad crossing is located just south of Lake Street, near the Wayzata Depot and the Boatworks building. The railroad crossing will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic as of 6:00 a.m. on Monday, October 13th, with restoration of the crossing anticipated by late Thursday, October 16th. 

The City of Wayzata will be responsible for traffic control for the detour. A portable traffic signal system will be utilized to allow access to and from the city beach, marina, 6Smith, Boatworks building tenants, and the Depot via Lake Street to Ferndale Road South to Grove Lane East (see link below of detour map).
