City of Wayzata: Fall Leaf Pick Up

The Fall Leaf Pick Up will be on Monday, November 10th. Leaves must be bagged and placed curbside by 7:00 a.m.

Effective January 1, 2010, a State of Minnesota law went into effect that requires residents to bag their yard waste in compostable bags only. Compostable bags include paper Kraft bags or compostable plastic bags which are usually clear or a tinted shade of green, white or pink. The bags must state that they meet ASTM D6400 standards for compositing and they are “compostable.” Bags marked “biodegradable” or “degradable” do not meet the state law. For more information, call Randy’s Environmental Services at 763-972-3335.
