Beach parking stickers no longer available for non-residents; policy protects against abuse

During the tax levy and revenue discussion at the September 17, 2014 City Council meeting, City Finance Director Don Uram indicated that beach parking stickers for non-residents will no longer be available,

"The City will no longer be selling beach passes to non-residents."  Uram stated. "This year we have sold a number of parking passes, within that parking lot, either to employees of existing businesses or construction workers.  We have 51 some parking spaces down there, and we have 700 parking passes, that have been issued.  This just compounded our issues, by people who were just looking for a place to park."
