Wayzata Women's Chorus headed to UK for competition

The Wayzata Women's Chorus will leave Sunday, July 3rd for Llangollen, Wales to compete in the Llangollen International Musical Eistoddfod on July 8th and 9th, 2011.

"The Chorus will compete with people from all over the world in the Classical and Folk categories of this prestigious music, song, and dance competition. We are extremely honored to be one of four groups from the United States to be selected, " said Carla Erpelding, Publicity Chair for the group.

The Wayzata Women's Chorus is directed by Carole Birch and accompanied by Mary Fadden. Founded in 1985, this award-winning chorus is made up of women who share a love of music and enjoy performing in a variety of venues. The group attained the Bronze Level at the Salzburg, Austria Choral Competition in 1995 and have participated in several musical festivals in recent years.
