OBITUARY: Sheila Pietig

Pietig, Sheila Anne (Carroll)
Sheila Anne Pietig, age 87 of St. Therese of New Hope and longtime resident of Plymouth and Long Lake passed away from this life on May 12, 2010.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years, Alvin; parents, Gladys and James; sister, Mary Roddy and brothers, James and Thomas.

She is survived by her loving children, Mark, Jerry (Darlene) and Sheila Van Pelt (Jeff); her beloved grandchildren, Lindsay (Silas), Andrew, Alexandra, Laura, Brett, Bennett and Paige. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and as well as many dear friends.

Sheila will always be remembered for her quick smile and engaging laugh. Sheila was a proud mother who always wanted the best for her family. She will be dearly missed.

To all the nurses and nurses’ aides who dignify the elderly, disabled and dying, you have our heartfelt thanks . A special thank you to the staff of St. Therese who provided a wonderful place to call “home”.

Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Thursday, May 19, 2011 at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, 155 County Rd. 24, Medina. Visitation 5-8 PM Wednesday with prayer service at 7 PM at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 E. Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata and one hour prior to Mass at church.
