Don't forget about the volunteer flower planting going on Saturday morning, May 14, 2011!!!

When: Saturday, May 14th, 2011 8:30-11:30 Rain or Shine

Who: 150 citizens of Wayzata (men, woman, children) gather to plant Wayzata City Gardens

What: The second annual “Dig It” celebration. This is an organized citizen effort to defray city costs by working with the Public Works department to plant many of the City’s Gardens

Where: Volunteers gather for instruction and demonstrations at Wayzata Public Works Department – 299 Wayzata Boulevard W. at 8:30-9:15 a.m.

At 9:15, to the strains of a rollicking calliope, the workers will disperse to their assigned gardens (most of them along Lake St. -- the heart of downtown Wayzata.)

How: The event is organized by the City of Wayzata Volunteer Group. In 2010 the group was established to create initiatives to supplement City services diminished by the economic downturn and budget cuts.
