Ryan Johnson, Wayzata High School’s strength and conditioning teacher/coach, has been named the Minnesota National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) 2010 High School Strength and Conditioning Professional of the year.

In Johnson’s 10 years at WHS, the Trojans have captured 21 team state championship titles and in 2007 were crowned the Minnesota Challenge Cup Champions. In addition to the coach of the year award, Johnson will become the state director of the NSCA after serving on the Minnesota Advisory Board and as assistant director for the past four years. The state award makes him a candidate for the National High School Coach of the Year title, which will be presented at the national convention held in Las Vegas, Nevada in July.
