The Wayzata Police Department continues to take reports of coyote sightings. Most recently coyotes are being reported routinely in the Highcroft and Ferndale Road West area of the city. We have made contact with the DNR and they reiterate that there has never been a report of a coyote attacking a human in Minnesota, although small pets wandering unattended outdoors are at risk. Coyotes are being reported in many metro area cities. The link below has been on our city website since December and provides more information about coyotes.
