Wayzata-based Merrill Lynch Advisors Named Among America’s Top 100 Women by Barron's

Wayzata-based Merrill Lynch financial advisors Christina Boyd and Barbara Bencini were honored by Barron’s magazine on the “Top 100 Women Financial Advisors” list, which published in the June 8 edition of the magazine.

To compile the “Top 100 Women Financial Advisors” ranking Barron’s considered volume of client assets overseen by the advisors and their teams, revenues generated for their firm and the quality of the advisors’ practices, among others. Less weight was given to assets of institutional clients and assets overseen by private bankers. Advisors from throughout the United States were considered for this list.

Christina Boyd is a Certified Financial Manager (CFM), a Senior Financial Advisor and a First Vice President – Investments. She has been helping clients with all aspects of their financial advising needs for nearly 15 years, providing investment recommendations to individuals, corporate clients, and small businesses. Christina specializes in working with people in transitional periods of their lives, such as newly retired/divorced/widowed or those that have recently come in to money through inheritance or selling a business.

Barbara Bencini, Wealth Management Advisor and a First Vice President – Investments, was one of the first women Financial Advisors to be hired by Merrill Lynch when she joined the firm in 1978. She received her CFP® from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. in 1987 and co-founded the Financial Professional Association. She received her CIMA® designation in 2003 from Wharton and specializes in wealth-management and portfolio analysis.

Merrill Lynch was the most honored firm on the list, with 34 recognized advisors.
