The Fourth of July celebration just two weeks away

The City of Wayzata will host a variety of activities in celebration of the Fourth of July this year.

From 8:00 a.m. to noon the Flying Pancake Breakfast will be held at the Depot, 402 E. Lake St. This event is free for veterans and active military in uniform. Participants can interact with Revolutionary actors in uniform while catching flying pancakes with a plate while they fly off the grill.

The Annual Kiddie Parade will begin at 10 a.m. at the corner of Broadway and Park Street. Motorized vehicles are not allowed.

The Mini Olympics will begin at 12:30 p.m. at Wayzata West Middle School, 149 Ave. N. This event is for children ages 12 and younger and is a free competition of running races, running broad jump and the softball throw. For more information call the Fire Department at 952-404-5337.
