INTRODUCTION TO ELEMENT BUTLER: Didn’t get what you want for Mother’s Day? There’s still hope…

Written by Jenna Soule.

Another Mother’s Day has come and gone and many women may be gazing at their wilted corsages wondering when their spouses will finally get a clue about what makes a great gift. It was this age-old dilemma that prompted local Wayzata-area resident, Eric Berg, to start a company dedicated to helping loved ones celebrate special occasions in creative, meaningful ways.

Element Butler is a date reminder and gift suggestion service. “We all know guys get a bad rap when it comes to remembering dates or buying good gifts,” stated Element Butler founder, Eric Berg. "The truth is, most guys want to do something to make her happy. But between work, kids, school and just everyday life, we don't always have the time or resources to explore all of the possibilities that would be perfect for her.”

Unlike automated event reminders, Element Butler provides personalized service through a relationship manager – your own personal assistant who will work with you to set up a birthday, anniversary or other celebration that includes everything from the perfect dinner to that gift she always wanted. This is accomplished by creating a profile that includes the loved one’s likes and dislikes. The significant other can help or even create the profile herself if she wishes. “A lot of the women want to be part of this,” says Susan Daub, Element Butler’s relationship manager. “They like to be involved and are able to put information in the profile that allows him to get it right.”

The client’s relationship manager will call a few weeks prior to the event, pull together suggestions based on their profile and make all of the arrangements. “This isn’t an online service,” stated Berg. “It’s a personal, one-to-one relationship.”

The service has been a huge time saver for clients and, contrary to what one might think, is very affordable. “Our process is streamlined enough to make sure we can spend the necessary time to do it right but not have it cost an arm and a leg,” said Daub.

Element Butler’s founder already has strong ties to the greater Wayzata community. You might remember Berg as one of the sources for the pictures of the Wayzata Trojans Football team that won the 2008 State Championship, and his son
Kramer, who was one of the team’s quarterbacks. One of the ways Element Butler stays connected with the community is to recommend services and establishments that are locally-based. “We’re very community-focused,” explained Berg. “We only recommend local businesses to our clients because that’s how we can continue to make this community a thriving place to live and raise a family.”

So, instead of enduring another Mother’s Day wearing the grocery store orchid, maybe it’s time to leave the important events to the professionals. As Berg stated, “It’s always the right time to invest in your relationship.”
