Man Charged in Connection With Wayzata Burglaries

William Milligan, a 47-year-old Minneapolis man, was charged in late April for burglaries in Brooklyn Center and Golden Valley and recently admitted to being present during three office burglaries in Wayzata on May 4, according to the Wayzata-Orono-Long Lake Sun Sailor.

The Sun Sailor said that in those burglaries, two flat-screen televisions and a laptop were stolen, as well as some personal and corporate checks which were used at a west metro bank later that morning. Police are looking for a second suspect in relation to the check forgery.

WCCO news notes that Milligan has burgled all over the west metro, and that he is linked to over 50 burglaries across Hennepin County.

Lt. Mike Murphy of the Wayzata Police Department confirmed the burglaries and said that Milligan’s past criminal record will have “no bearing whatsoever on new charges.”
