WAYZATA BOYS BASKETBALL 2009: Trojans Fall to Armstrong 80-76

By Matt Thomas, Wayzata.com Sports Reporter

Despite having five players score in double figures on Tuesday night, the Wayzata boys basketball fell to 18-6 on the season with an 80-76 loss to the Armstrong Falcons.

All five Wayzata starters - Nolan Odland (16), Kellen Taylor (15), Jamar Franks (13), Eren Cur (10), and Jerrod Peterson (10) - scored in double figures, but it wasn't enough to produce a victory.

The Falcons got a season-high 28 points out of sophomore guard Marquel Curtis to go along with 23 points from senior guard Damarius Cruz.

The Trojans will finish up their regular season schedule on Friday, March 6 when they host Edina for a 7:15 p.m. tip-off.
