The European importer of antique furniture, gifts and decor has been in business for 12 years. When asked why now, Ringstad replied that her lease is up, "and I didn't want to sign a lease right now. If business had been really booming, I might have considered it. But it's not--It's not terrible, I mean we are luckier than most. ...but it's definitely down. I thought this is just not the time to be starting a five year lease. I truly believe [the economy] is going to get worse. So I just decided to close."
When asked about her going out of business sale, Ringstad anwered, "We are stuffed, and still have a lot of merchandise. We are going to run a liquidation sale until everything is gone. The newer items are 30-40% off. We have a lot of antique furniture from 20-70% off."
