WAYZATA PUBLIC SCHOOLS: Environmental Quality Fair planned at Birchview Elementary

From Wayzata Public Schools:

An Environmental Quality Fair is planned at Birchview Elementary School on Thursday, March 12 from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

The event is a partnership effort between the city of Plymouth and Birchview Elementary and the theme for this year’s fair is “Discover the Power of One.” Participants will have an opportunity to stroll across a giant map of Minnesota biomes; explore the underwater world of creatures from Minnesota streams; plant a native perennial wildflower to take home and shake hands with Smokey the Bear, Woodsy Owl and the Green Guardian.

Birchview and Plymouth city staff collaborated together to bring this event to the school. Students from many grade levels also participated with exhibits of their own. The school choir will preview songs from its spring program, "My Planet! Your Planet!"
