WAYZATA SWIMMING 2008: Jackie Stenroos featured as Star Tribune Athlete of the Week

Jackie Stenroos, a sophomore at Wayzata High School, has been featured as one of the Star Tribune's athletes of the week. The article indicates that Jackie utilized a training method called tapering, in which she doesn't work out as hard as she gets ready for a big meet. Stenroos recorded four first-place finishes at the Class 2A, Section 5 swim meet winning:
  • 200 yard individual medley
  • 100 breaststroke
  • participating on 200 medley relay team
  • participating on 400 freestyle relay team
