Irene Stemmer named Citizen of the year for 2008 by the City of Wayzata

Andrew Humphrey announced at the November 5th, 2008 Wayzata City Council meeting that Irene Stemmer has been named the 2008 Citizen of the Year by the City of Wayzata. The Council took a 10 minute break to have light refreshments to celebrate the award.

Stemmer is the Chairperson of the Historic Preservation Board in Wayzata and was completely caught off guard by the award. "I can't believe that I didn't know one single thing about this. That's very nice of you to do. I'm a little bit taken back, it's a real honor."
