Metro Top 10 prep football teams results and commentary

Star Tribune staff writer John Millea's metro top 10 prep football teams:

  1. Eden Prairie (2-0) W 45-0 as EP rolls over Chaska

  2. Wayzata (2-0) W 24-7 Trojans beat Skippers handily

  3. Minnetonka (1-1) L 24-7 to Wayzata

  4. Cretin-Derham Hall (2-0) W 33-0 Raiders beat Hastings with defense

  5. Eastview (1-1) L 13-7 Loses to Apple Valley

  6. Totino-Grace (2-0) W 24-12 over Benilde-St. Margaret's

  7. Mahtomedi (2-0) W Zephyrs's get 21 points in 3rd quarter

  8. Edina (1-1) L 56-42 to Hopkins in and all offense, no defense game

  9. Coon Rapids (1-1) L 15-9 Cards drop the game against Anoka

  10. Woodbury (2-0) W 28-23 Royals edge Park

We will see if Minnetonka's loss will have a significant impact in their rating. They seemed ineffective on offense, running draw plays on 3rd and long and scoring no offensive touchdowns. Wayzata will have to improve of their performance last night to go all the way as they had way too many penalties.
