Rep. John Berns from Wayzata Sponsors Hockey as Official State Sport of Minnesota

The Pioneer Press is reporting that Representative John Berns of Wayzata is sponsoring a measure to make Hockey the official sport of the State of Minnesota. While Berns is quoted in the article as saying there are higher priories than this, it still makes constituents wonder why on earth legislators are spending time on something like this when the budget, bridges and roads, and our economy are such higher priorities.
